My Everyday Makeup Routine

Hi guys!

I have gone self-hosted with my blog and I’m really pleased with how it’s looking – although still a work in progress!

Today I thought I would share my everyday makeup routine with you.  This is the makeup that I wear most days and can usually do it in about 10 minutes.

FACE

I start by using a primer on my skin.  At the moment I am using a sample of the MAC Prep & Prime Natural Radiance in radiant pink which I’m really loving so am going to buy.  I then apply the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation in shade 2 (fair) all over my face with a beauty blender. After that, I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1 for under my eyes and on any blemishes I may have. I then set this with the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in shade 003 peach glow using a Real Techniques buffing brush.  To finish my face, I then contour and highlight using the Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette in shade 002 coral glow using the No 7 contour and highlight brush.  I’m not sure whether I would buy the sculpting palette again, so if you have any recommendations for a contour or highlighter then I’d love to know!

EYEBROWS

I then move on to doing my eyebrows.  First, I use the Benefit Browvo Conditioning Eyebrow Primer.  I fill in my eyebrows using the Benefit Brow Zings Kit in shade 1, which has a wax and a powder, which I like!  Sometimes it doesn’t look as natural as I would like though so I might look for something different when this has run out.  I just go over my brows with the Benefit Gimme Brow to tidy up any stray hairs.  I did use to use this on its own which is great if you want a more natural look.

EYES

To start my eye makeup off I use the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion on my eyelids.  At the moment I am LOVING the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, and am especially loving the shade ‘Mugshot’.  I am a little bit addicted to winged eyeliner, and my absolute favourite liquid liner is the Seventeen Lacquer Liner Wet Look Finish.  This eyeliner comes with a little brush that is perfect for drawing thin, neat lines and it doesn’t smudge which has been a problem with other liners that I have tried.  To finish off I use the L’Oreal False Lash X Fiber Xtreme Resist Waterproof Mascara.  I have only recently started using this after seeing a few bloggers and YouTubers advertising it so thought I would give it a go.  It is the best mascara I’ve ever used and I often get complimented on how long my eyelashes look (which I always take as a good sign!)

LIPS

To finish off my makeup, I use the Barry M Lip Liner in the shade Toast followed by MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick.  I adore this lipstick and would thoroughly recommend it!

So that’s my everyday makeup routine!  Are there any products that you use that you would recommend?  If so, I’d love you to leave them in the comments!

Hope you’re having a lovely week.

  1. Great products! I especially love the Naked 3 palette too, it’s a classic for me and it’s probably my favorite out of all the Naked palettes. (Haven’t tried Heat yet, Have you?)

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Really enjoyed this post, love nosing into what make up people are using.
Definitely going to check out that L’Oréal mascara. I bought the Bad Gal Bang mascara after hearing everyone rave about it and I actually found it super difficult to use, it was a really wet formula, I’m hoping it’ll dry out/I’ll get better at applying it.

  3. I’ve been meaning to try the mac prep and primer for sooooo long and I keep seeing it. Think I’m going to give it a try. I’m also loving the naked eyeshadow palette (although I don’t own one, I steal it from my cousin) it’s so good! Love your routine. Some goods I have to go check out!

    1. Thank you! The MAC prep and prime is SO good, my makeup has stayed on so much better since I started using it. X

  4. Love your makeup selection! I’ve never tried the stay matte powder from Rimmel so many people talk about it though. I need to pick it up next time.
    Congrats on being self-hosted!
